Advancing Effective Stormwater Management and Erosion Control Practices, Minnesota Erosion Control Association present their 31st Annual Conference, EROSION MATTERS, January 29 through January 31, 2019 at Willmar Conference Center in Willmar, Minnesota. The Erosion Control & Stormwater Conference brings together professionals ranging from regulators, government, educators, vendors, and contractors in a collaborative environment, participating in workshops, education sessions, networking opportunities, and social activities.
MECA courses include erosion and sediment control devices installation, vegetation and turf establishment, permit regulations, conceptual identification of sediment hotspots, monitoring and measuring erosion and deposition, compliance with MS4 permit requirements, implementing Best Management Practices, addressing site challenges, bioengineering and biotechnical soil stabilization techniques, geotechnical benefits, and the history of bioengineering in the West.
FODS will be in attendance to present the latest BMP erosion trackout control entrance. FODS Trackout Control Mats are a heavy equipment mat mainly used as a construction entrance or construction exit, but are versatile and used by all industries.
FODS Trackout Mats contain alternating rows of pyramids specifically designed to deform and separate the lugs of tires. Separating the lugs causes mud, dust, and debris to fall to the base of the mat. The mud stays at the base of the mat and does not stick to the tires of subsequent vehicles preventing erosion and track out from entering stormwater runoff. FODS Trackout Control System is a series of construction matting that replace the need for riprap, rumble grates, plates, wheel wash systems, or a gravel construction entrance.
